Grappe

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Grappe makes indie iOS games. This studio-wide policy explains what our games collect, why, and who it's shared with — in plain language. It applies to all Grappe games.

Each game also has its own privacy policy — the one linked from its App Store listing: Afterburn · Pixel Breaker.

The short version

What we collect & why

Account & display name. You're identified only by an anonymous account ID and a display name you choose — your Game Center nickname, or a name you type if you play without Game Center. We never receive your real name, email address, or any contact details.

Scores & game progress. Your best score and progress are submitted to our leaderboards so you can be ranked against other players.

Approximate location. To place you on local boards (city, region, country, continent), the game determines your approximate location:

If neither is available, your score competes on the worldwide board only.

Ads

Our games may show occasional full-screen ads between runs/sessions, served by Google AdMob. We keep them light and frequency-capped, and they never appear during active play.

We don't track you across apps. Our games do not request App Tracking Transparency permission and do not use your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking — so ads are non-personalized and you won't get a "tracking" prompt.

EU/UK consent. Before showing ads to players in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we present Google's consent form. You can accept or refuse. If you refuse, no ads are shown to you.

In-app purchase

Some games offer an optional, one-time purchase that removes all ads forever. Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store — we never see or store your payment details. To remember your purchase across devices, we store a single flag in your own private iCloud (Apple's key-value storage). That flag lives in your iCloud account, not on our servers.

Third-party services

Our games rely on a small number of services. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:

What we don't do

Where your data is stored

The data we store — your leaderboard entries and anonymous account — is hosted on Google Firebase servers located in the European Union.

Keeping & deleting your data

Leaderboard entries are kept so the rankings stay meaningful. If you'd like us to delete your data, email afterburn.game@gmail.com and we'll remove your entries.

Children's privacy

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change.
